Story Time!!!! Almost Like Cinderella

(( Bear with me I am using my phone to write this idea out. So there is likely to be typos abound :3 ))

Sunset locks glowed in the afternoon sun as a teenage girl skipped about the park. Dancing and twirling about the trees with an abundance of cheer. Legs were outstretched to show a lack of footwear peeking out from the flared black slacks that folded and flowed in her every movement.

It was as though nature would dance along with her with the breeze and leaves dancing their own number. It perhaps gave way tp why the girl, Champagne, appeared very much at ease. Until she heard a wimpering dog hiding beneath a brush.

A sudden stop as she turned slowly to the trembling small creature who was only a mere puppy. Warmth spilled into her features as she knelt down and spoke softly and coaxingly to the puppy with giant grey eyes.

"Shhh it is alright little one. Are you lost? If you come here maybe I can help you." Slowlyly she dug around her pockets. Chocolate... no. A mint? Definitely not. Certainly not change. In the midst of her searching a bubbling laughter broke from her lips. Something was tickling her feet!!!

A quick look unearthed the truth; the puppy had taken an interest in her toes that wiggles and danced trying to escape the warm little puppy tongue that assaulted her ticklish pads.
.
"St-stop!!! Haha! Please! Hee hee hee!" Giggling continued for a little bit longer until it stopped and he gave a big puppu yawn and curled up in a warm patch beside her in the dimming sunlight. Wiping away tears she peered over tp oe sleeping pup with the soft brown fur.

Scooping the puppy up into her arms, it continued to snooze and she set off into the park to find the lost owner. It did not take long, as she soon found a young man wandering around with a glittery red collar shouting out the name 'of Cocoa' into the trees. His other hand toted something else that she couldn't see right away.

"Hello?" She addressed politely, "Is this puppy yours?" Worried gaze shot over to her and lit up brightly as he ran over and gently took the puppy from her and hugged it.

" You found her! Thank you!!! When I lost her the only thing i found were these sandals she chewed up!"

The said clue was certainly chewed up and Champagne stared for a long moment. A long sigh followed by a laugh rang through the air, "Those would be mine. No wonder she liked my toes
. My name is Champagne."

"Pierce. Um, since she ate your shoes up... I can cook! You took care of her and all... we can go back to my house and O I can make you something! "

"Sounds lovely Pierce! On the way I can get another pair of shoes. "You a quiet giggle before the two left together with theor newfound friendship.

Before anyone Screams Lazy Mom...

As some know, I recently rejoined the work force.

As my body had told me. That was a HUGE mistake. It isn't the lack of sleep really killing me so much as the arthritis. Or whatever the fuck it is that makes me hurt daily every goddamn second of the day. The stuff that gets worse as the days go by and medication hasn't done shit.

Before work, I plowed through it. I took care of my son. Did house work. The household paper work. Helped manage bills. Cooked. Cleaned. Played and became a human jungle gym for my son. Despite what some think, being a stay at home mom at least for me is an incredibly physical thing that I just /barely/ get through the day with. If it weren't for my husband I probably would be in a heap load more pain.

Now tacking on work. I feel like I am burnt out. I just added so much more to my personal workload that most others can handle. Hell before having Owen I probably could have dealt with it. But honestly I cannot. My body cannot.

I just cannot come home another day and be unable to play with my son. It is not fair to him.

Of course I grew up with a quiet stigma that if a woman stayed at home. She was lazy. Well let me tell you. It is a full time job. There is no monetary paycheck. But you get to raise your kids. You clean and get to be proud of it. You get to be home. There is so much work put into it. It is a full time job in itself.

Some people can balance a full time job with that. And school. And whatever else. This makes no one more or less than anyone else.

As for me, my body, and my mental health and wellbeing... I am becoming a stay at home mom.

People can give me shit for it.

I can go without the shiny things.

I can deal.

Being a Stay at Home mom IS my job.

A Quiet Revelation of Something I probably Always Knew

So on the 3rd of December I get to go with the Amazing Awesome and Gorgeous Erin to my very first Hershey Bears game. It will also have the Bear Toss so I get to raid my stuffed animal collection for some low sentimental animals that would adore being loved on. I will probably have a ton to give. Tots need cuddles too!

So I am pretty damn excited. Not only because I get to hang with Erin (and have a sole girl time while Owen gets some daddy time that is not work related) but because it is hockey.

I think it is honestly the only sport I can get excited about. It was the only game I enjoyed on our N64 and we fought over who would play the Mighty Ducks. (I loved the cartoon and the movies) Plus we would change the player names to our own. So there was some poor guy out there being named Tamara. Most likely the reason his player kept beating the snot out of the opposing team members.

I always participated in the whole 5 days in elementary school where we played field hockey. Middle school too if they had it. In summer it was the four saturdays of floor hockey. Which by the way was great.

I could hurt like hell but I would keep playing it. Seriously I got to hit stuff with a stick! It was awesome.

So while normally I hated most sports with a passion (volleyball... i haaaate it. Bleh!!) I enjoyed things like soccer (or football for those over the pond) tennis (more smacking stuff with large objects!) And most of all, hockey.

So after thinking about it for awhile I am pretty sure I will be next to Erin screaming and cheering and enjoying myself. Probably accidentally hitting people with teddy bears because my throw is awful. So I may become a bonified hockey fan qith my first game and being able to cheer excitedly beside one of my bestest friends and waiting to see if someone will start beating the snot out of someone else.

And I will probably shout out "HIT HIM WITH THE STICK!"

Now I am going to make this sick lady food while Cory and Owen sleep. Because losing sleep overnight to make sure O am okay makes me happy and feel bad. Sleep is good.

Perogie time!!!

The Rush of a Million Emotions

Worry. Elation. Anxiety. Hope. Impatience. Eagerness.

And about a bunch of others I cannot really figure out what exactly they are. I just know it is forming a ball in the pit of my stomach and I am not sure if I should be jumping for joy or huddling away in a dark corner.

The happy part of me is like YES! Because I am steps away from securing a job, no matter WHAT is said. I will have the money for a down payment because people around me are spectacular and help me with either commissioning me (which makes me doubly happy because hey, I get to work on my art!) or just in general being awesome helpful people. I found an apartment and I am trying to get a hold of the people again so I can set up a time for me to visit the place and get a look at the inside. The outside is very pretty and looks incredibly well taken care of, I am assuming it can be said for the inside.

The unhappy part of me is that ball of dread. All of those what-ifs that usually I shut up because hell, I am a happy person. But no. Some. God. Damn. Asshole. Cannot be fucking happy for me. Someone out there things they have a right to step in and make it seem innocent by making it /seem/ like they aren't trying to dash my hopes, but try to weakly save it by saying they are hoping for the best for me.

It upsets me. It brings about a doom and I do not want to put up with it any more. So I am going to keep telling myself that EVERYTHING WILL WORK THE HELL OUT. Because in the long run, I know it will. I have come this far by taking matters into my own hands and perusing over and over what I want. Pressing matters when I apply somewhere and making sure they know I really want the job. Making sure they know my name because it will pop out like a neon sign when they see it in the applications. And hey, it worked, the very kind woman at the Turkey Hill said she was going to call me. I will make sure it happens to because I am serious about getting this job and doing everything I have to to keep it. I will work my tush off, lose sleep, probably get irritable sometimes, but to give Owen space and a place to live. It is all worth it.

So I will pursue the apartment as well. I WILL get this apartment for Cory, Owen, and I. I will stand my ground and I will not let shit get the hell in the way. Because you know what? Cory deserves it. Owen deserves it. We all deserve it and as long as I hold that sentiment tightly and never let it slip away, things will get the hell done.

Watch out world, the crazy artist lady has a plan, and she is gonna make it happen!

02 October, 2011

I am sick but I want to feel productive.

So Cory and I packed like 15 boxes. I said goodbye temporarily to some sketchbooks. (Sorry sketchbooks! I PROMISE I WILL GET YOU BACK SOON!)

I packed MORE books away. Joy :-/

Packed a lot of Small Owen Clothes. Separated out the ones that DO fit him.

Packed my whole 4 other pairs of shoes and kept my pirate-boots out because I am lazy and those just pull on.

Packed dishes up.

And after we do ALL of this...

'OH! She might not be moving in!'

Might.

Fuck. You.

I am tired. I am sick. I just ran about in this god-awful weather. Made Cory help get stuff back and forth for me. My brother helped carry shit back and forth.

So either way. ASAP I want to get the fack out of here before I turn into some crazed maniac with a roll of zeeber print tape.

Imma go write now.
